Why Max Liverier known as the famous French sculptor
Max Liverier was a famous French sculptor based in Paris who specializes in the creation of figures and statues, Art Deco lamp with famous works such as the Bib girl. After World War Liverier studied at the Beaux Arts in Geneva with famous contemporaries Pierre Le Fugues Lorraine and would stay with friends throughout their lives.
Liverier first piece was the Pelican “which was followed by a series of studies in animals, including monkeys, panthers and horses. It was in the 1920s that Liverier became famous for his studies on women as part of the fascination of the art deco era with the ideal female form – all perfect symmetry agile and athletic.
Some of his most famous works include Jangle, Enigma, Lure, Dancer of grapes, and the dancer Nausea Coupe. Original works are highly sought by Liverier and Collette.
